CARAMELIZED BRUSSELS SPROUTS RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

1/2 pound halved Brussels stems Three-quarter cup water 2-quarts butter 3 tablespoons brown sugar, to flavor, salt and pepper

STEP-1

Add water and butter to the sprouts (cut side down) and bring to a boil over medium-high heat; cover and simmer for five minutes.

INSTRUCTION

STEP-2

Reduce to low, stir in brown sugar, and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes while uncovered.

STEP-3

Return to high heat and saute for an additional 5 minutes, or until the sprouts are tender and all the water has evaporated.

Step-4

Eliminate from heat. Seasoning with pepper
