½ cup minute rice uncooked ▢½ cup water ▢½ cup onion chopped ▢1 teaspoon salt ▢½ teaspoon celery salt ▢⅛ teaspoon pepper ▢⅛ teaspoon garlic powder ▢1 egg ▢1 pound ground beef ▢2 tablespoon vegetable oil ▢1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce ▢1 cup water ▢2 tablespoons brown sugar ▢2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce


Step - 1

In a medium basin, combine the rice, water, onion, salt, celery salt, pepper, garlic powder, and egg.  

Stir beef into the mixture. Roll each into a 1½-inch disk.  

Step - 2

In a skillet, brown the meatballs using two tablespoons of vegetable oil. While the meatballs are brown, drain the oil.  

Step - 3

Combine the Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, water, and brown sugar in a basin; then drizzle over the meatballs. Simmer over reduced heat for approximately 45 minutes.  

Step - 4

Simmering flavorful porcupine meatballs in tomato sauce until they are ideally cooked. Serve alongside rice to round out the meal.
